This is the most basic lone worker safety system. It involves simply listing all staff names on a whiteboard and using a tick system to check them in and out. No external provider is needed for this one, just a bit of internal organisation and sharing of diaries.
Cheap and easy
Over simplistic
Reliant on people
Does not comply with BS 8484
This involves pairing lone workers up with a colleague and giving them responsibility to ensure each others' safety. Typically this involves checking in and out with their ‘buddy’. which can be done via call, text or email.
