The pandemic has served as a catalyst for re-evaluating perceptions of safety and security, particularly within remote and hybrid work environments. The lines between personal and professional life have blurred and employees are more aware of the personal security risks associated with their job.
Our research found that one in five (21%) employees have personal safety concerns at least once a week. Applied across the UK workforce, this equates to 6.8 million employees having a concern for their safety as they work or commute. It’s clear that safety concerns are deeply ingrained in our workforce and the widespread nature of these concerns has a significant impact on the experiences of employees.
