Timed Activity
Automatically trigger an emergency alarm for workers who start a high-risk activity and don’t respond when their activity should end.
When Safety Depends on Timing, We Keep Track for You
Timed Activity is a flexible feature within the OK Alone app that lets lone workers set a safety timer for high-risk tasks. Whether lifting heavy items, entering a client’s home, or working in a confined space, workers can start a countdown that will trigger an alert if they don’t confirm completion—adding an extra layer of protection when it matters most.
• The worker starts a timed task in the app before beginning a high-risk activity.• A countdown timer runs in the background during the task.• The app notifies the worker before time runs out, prompting them to confirm they’re safe.• If no confirmation is received, an alert is sent to their monitor or emergency contact.
Certain tasks carry more risk, even if only for a short period. Timed Activity ensures that higher-risk moments are monitored more closely, reducing the chance that incidents go unnoticed and enabling faster, more focused emergency response.
• Adds extra protection for short-term, high-risk jobs.• Customizable timer lengths for different tasks.• Reduces the need for frequent manual check-ins.• Alerts responders only when action is needed.• Simple to use with minimal training required.
Kieran, an on-site engineer, begins a high-voltage equipment check. He sets a 30-minute Timed Activity. When the timer runs out and he doesn’t respond, the app sends an alert to his supervisor, ensuring someone checks in immediately.
Leila, a social worker, is visiting a new client in a neighborhood with previous safety concerns. She starts a 15-minute Timed Activity before entering. If anything goes wrong and she doesn't confirm her safety, her team will be notified automatically with her location.
Ethan is inspecting a crawl space under a school building. He starts a 10-minute Timed Activity on his OK Alone app. When he gets delayed and misses the timer, the alert notifies his facility manager, prompting a safety check.
