Peoplesafe's Alarm Controllers are extensively trained to respond exclusively to worker alarms. When they receive a genuine alarm, they typically have three means of escalation:

1. Blue light response

Guaranteed to provide the fastest possible response in an emergency through our direct access to emergency services across the country. All due to our full list of Unique Reference Numbers (URNs) and high accreditation standards.

2. National response service

Our Alarm Controllers have access to over 1,000 security teams across the UK and if required, can dispatch security personnel. This network of backup responders adds peace of mind to your employees when a blue light response or escalation contact is unavailable. Find out more about this service.

3. Internal response

We work with your colleagues to create a network of dedicated escalation contacts for when an internal response is required. This will be used to confirm an employee's welfare in low-risk scenarios, or in instances where we cannot reach the employee but can hear that everything is ok.

Improving your Alarm Processes

Business Continuity

We have complete ownership of our end-to-end service offering. We also own all the systems that drive the ARC, ensuring optimum security and quality control.

Located at our Epsom headquarters, the ARC is within a steel-reinforced and airlocked complex. Should the local power supply fail, it has its own power and air supply and a back-up power system so that we can continue to provide our service regardless of any external crisis.

In the unlikely event that the ARC is compromised, we have two alternative secure locations that can be operational within minutes, ensuring service continuity.

Safeguarding your data

All data is backed up and stored securely. Personal data provided by your organisation is only made available to our Alarm Controllers in the event of an emergency.

As an ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus accredited supplier, our data processes are already in line with GDPR and information security best practices. GDPR compliance is supervised by our in-house Data Protection Officer.

National Response Service

Our National Response Service (NRS) is an optional emergency response solution.

It proves valuable when traditional emergency services can't respond, are not suitable, or for non-emergency situations employees might face. Similarly, an escalation contact may not be able to reach the user's location if they are working in a remote area.

The service, provided through approved UK security companies with over 1,000 mobile teams, maintains high standards certified by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) Approved Contractor Scheme.

When requested, our ARC Controllers swiftly send the nearest response service driver to the incident. Throughout the response, our Alarm Controller stays in regular contact with both the user and the response vehicle until the situation is resolved.

Screening in accordance with BS 7858-2 standards.
Thorough checks through the Police National Computer.
Registration and verification by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
Uniformed presence and driving liveried vehicles for easy identification.
Training and certification in conflict resolution, customer-facing skills, security procedures, and effective communication, all aligned with SIA standards.
